Bio |
After leaving St. Martins, Nathan joined design consultancy SmallBackRoom, designing cd-roms, corporate presentation systems and websites. He then left to set up his own business, working on various applications from an animated DVD for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, to a cafe concept design for Coca-Cola, to a community website system for Heatham House Youth Club. As a member of Cybersalon, a collective of digital artists at the ICA, Nathan organised several educational and networking events, including a workshop with YTouring theatre group that explored digital media in interactive theatre. He recently wrote a research paper for the Science Museum in London on how to make the best use of technology in public spaces. |
Focus |
Nathan is fascinated with the way people use technology, but specifically wants to look at how we can make best use of it in an enriching or educational way to improve our lives. He is interested in how we can prototype community interactions and design services and environments for them. |
