The Institute's main activity is its Graduate School, co-directed by Heather Martin and Neil Churcher.

Two areas support the Graduate School: Projects and Collaborations, headed by Barbara Ghella, and Knowledge Exchange headed by Sebastiano Bagnara.

The General Manager is Mauro Demarziani, responsible for all operational matters: administrative, legal and infrastructural.

The Coordination Committee and the General Manager are supported by a Steering Committee, consisting of world authorities in interaction design and related fields, and an Explorers' Club, a group of expert advisers.
