What is the Start-Up project?
A quick one-week project to start the academic year. It aims to get the blood racing and introduce everyone to everyone else. So Year 1 and Year 2 participate jointly.
What is its theme in 2004–05?
‘30-Second Visions’. Working in groups of three to five, students are asked to communicate, on screen and in just 30 seconds, a convincing and engaging definition of interaction design. Time-based media like video and animation are encouraged. Presentation takes the form of a ‘day in a life’, for instance, a social commentary, a satire, or a fictional narrative.
